These are specialists - for whom new opportunities that suit are as rare for them as are the skilled people that our customers want when the need arises. That is why, when we get to know each other we are planning to give you your own Personal Assistant to help you manage every aspect of your job search or changing jobs.

By chance, this particular brief is all about movement and transport in some form – from satellite and satellite based communications networks, the manufacture of cars, rail and rail safety to the transmission and analysis of information via specialist networks.

I am writing about these at this time because there is much activity now and we know – because we work with our clients in the planning process rather than just for them - that these opportunities can offer careers and long-term opportunities far into the future.

When I say challenging I mean just that. How often does one get the chance to provide a first response to customers looking to be users of top-secret satellite networks or get a shot at the design, development and production of RF Antenna, payloads and mission critical stuff?

We can offer Purchasing, Cost, Resourcing and Procurement roles and positions in everything from mechanical engineering in the context of the production of motor cars to satellites such as Galileo and Skynet (and the payloads and missions for which they are designed and destined) to those vital roles in the safety of the rail systems’ fixed assets and rolling stock.

Process and Cost Engineers can look to our team to find opportunities in as easily in Defence as at the plant of a major UK engine manufacturer within the production or high pressure die casting teams or cast your eye literally upwards towards Process Engineering in a Mission management environment involving digital processing within satellite processors.

With these positions, with these clients, understanding the stresses and strains on the product are almost as important as your ability to plan, validate and understand the products, missions, payloads and customers or network users.

Some stuff is so esoteric that we rely on the team of Subject Matters Experts we brought together when we established Career Navigator as a part of our customer response team.
